Wilma Darlene Malone, 69, of Ardmore, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Tuesday, August 28, 1956, to the late R.B. Grantland and Tiny Grantland.
Darlene lived in the North Alabama area for a majority of her life and was of the Christian faith. In her free time, she enjoyed taking care of her chickens and she loved to bake and cook.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 40 years, Billy Dean Malone, two daughters, Marie Frazier and Dawn Malone, one brother, Eddie (DD) Grantland, two sisters, Murlene Boles and Barbara Ann (Rick) Bacallao, as well as four grandchildren: Christopher Wilbanks, Michael Knabenshue, Abigail Knabenshue, and Hannah (Allison) Dabbs.
The family has made plans to have a private service at a later date for Mrs. Malone.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
