Willow Dean Helton  Mrs. Willow Dean Helton age 99 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at her home. She was born on September 17, 1924 in Smithville, TN, was a member of the McMinnville Primitive Baptist Church, and a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed canning food, sewing, and quilting. She worked at the Woodbury Shirt Factory, Levi’s, and the Campaign Shirt Factory. Mrs. Helton was preceded in death by her parents William Wade Young and Lou Ella Tramel Young, husband Clyde Helton, sisters Stella Adcock, Novella Fowler, Lora West, Birdie West, Gertie Sovzlordo, and Imogene Adcock, brother Firman Young, and son-in-law Steve Pedigo.

 

Survivors include her children Brenda (Jackie) Pelham, Ronnie (Charlotte) Helton, Patricia (Paul) Davis, and Beverly Pedigo, grandchildren Kelly Helton, Karrie (Stacey) Simmons, Jason (Latricia) Davis, Paula (Travis) Smith, Heather (Trent) Gilley, Chelsey (Dusty) Rice, Tanarra (Richard) Grissom, and Talissa Pelham.

 

Funeral service is scheduled at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 21, 2024 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jerry Hennessee and Trent Gilley will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation with the Helton family will be held on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
