Funeral for Willodyne Chambers, 86, of Decatur will be Sunday, September 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bro. NeSmith officiating. Burial will be at Burningtree Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chambers, who died Thursday, September 19, 2013, was born May 20, 1927, in Blanche, TN to the Rev. Carl and Bertha Elkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “Shorty” Chambers and her parents.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Bolton, Dottie Cole (Michael) and Mary Chambers; six grandchildren, Kenneth Bolton, Kevin Bolton, Vanessa Stacks (Kevin), April Corey (Chris), Robby Shankle and Rodney Shankle; nine great-grandchildren, Ariel Alexander (Kelly), Skylar Bolton, Nick Bolton, Emma Bolton, Savanna Bolton, Teran Shankle, Tyler Shankle (Melissa Michelle Watson), Spencer Shankle and Peyton Shankle; four great-great granchildren, Morgan Alexander, Nevaeh Shankle, Isaiah Shankle and Phil Shankle; and sister, Dora Wells.
