Willis “Pastor WildBill” Lee Jorgensen Jr., loving husband, father, son, Royal Ranger Commander, Biker Church Pastor, friend, and mentor to many, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
Bill grew up in Omaha, NE and Eureka Springs, AR. He joined the U.S. Army at 17 and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Bill married Ashley (Beth) Athey in April 1984. They had 37 happy years together. Bill retired in 2015 after 30 years in the mailing system business.
Bill was a very active, on-fire, for GOD, Christian. He worked in many aspects of church – Sunday School teacher, media director, youth leader, and board member. In 1984, Bill started working with Kairos Prison Ministry, leading inmates to Christ. Bill became a Royal Ranger (Boys Ministry) Commander. He loved ministering and mentoring boys. Kairos and Royal Rangers prepared him to become a full time pastor. In 2011, Bill became Pastor of Biker Church, Huntsville, until his death. He loved ministering to the Biker community and going on biker mission trips to Thunder Beach and Sturgis.
Bill will be missed by many, especially by his wife, Beth Jorgensen; son, John Jorgensen; daughter, Samantha (Greg) Vawter; grandsons, Elijah and Josiah; sisters, Carol Murphy, Jane Baker, Kathy Pafford, Sharon Davidson, and Patty Davidson; mother, Barbara Hartman; and many other extended family members and friends.
