Willis “Mac” Cooper of Huntsville passed away on Feb. 18, 2019. He was born July 15, 1934, in Hoxie, Arkansas, to Buna and Neil Cooper.
Mac was a career US Army officer who served his country in several stateside postings and overseas in Germany, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Cooper, Huntsville, son Michael Cooper (Shelley) Boise, ID, daughter Kathryn VanGilder, Louisville, KY and granddaughters Jennifer and Megan VanGilder.
A Memorial service will be held at the Latham United Methodist Church on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin one hour before the service.
