A memorial service celebrating the lives of Willis E. “Bud” Noble, Sr. and his wife, Betty Joyce Noble (nee Ballentine) will be held in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel in Humboldt, TN on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11 am. Visitation will begin at 10 AM and burial with military honors will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt.
Mr. and Mrs. Noble were married on December 27, 1952 in Corinth, MS. The Nobles lived in Dupo, Illinois until retiring to Humboldt in 1992 where they enjoyed the company of family, friends, and pets. Mr. Noble, born September 22, 1930, served in the United States Army from 1948 until 1952. He worked as a millwright at Cerro Copper and Brass in Sauget, IL for 40 years. Mr. Noble passed peacefully at The Bridge Assisted Living in North Charleston, SC on April 20, 2020. Mrs. Noble, born July 2, 1931, was a housewife and worked as a pharmacy technician for Reese Drugs for 20 years. Mrs. Noble passed in her sleep at White Oak Manor in North Charleston, SC on May 8, 2021.
Mr. and Mrs. Noble are survived by a son, Willis E. Noble, Jr. and his wife Cathy, of Summerville, SC, a granddaughter, Jennifer Whaley and three great granddaughters, Riley, Ava and Maddie of Huntsville, AL. Mr. and Mrs. Noble are survived by three generations nieces and nephews in Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. Mrs. Noble is also survived by brothers, Jere (Joel), Bobby (Bonnie), and Larry (Alice) Ballentine.
