Willie Roy “Bill” Brown, age 85, of Greenwood Springs, MS in the Sipsey Fork Community, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Amory, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:30pm at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Detroit, AL with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Roger Redus and Bro. Jason Clifton to officiate. Visitation will held at the church prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:30pm.
Pallbearers: Matthew Brown, Dale Scalisi, Donnie Scalisi, Tyler Elkins and Darrell Scalisi.
Bill was born on September 2, 1932 in Monroe County, MS to the late Daniel Luther “D.L.” Brown and the late Pearl Woods. He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Bill was a Mason and a member of the Splunge, MS Lodge. He enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a beloved member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
