Willie Pauline James Lee, 75, born February 7th, 1939, joyfully joined Jesus on February 2nd, 2015. Her visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 5th, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with her nephew Bobby James officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park.
Willie was preceded in death by parents, Ab and Anthem James; brother, Hershel James; sisters, Alvie Hand, Lurlie and Flora McBrayer, Mattie Hayes and Azalea Bailey.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Aubrey M. Lee; son, Aubrey Marcus Lee; daughters, Judy McCaig and Nancy Lee of Cherokee; grandsons, Matthew McCaig, MacKenzie McCaig and Andrew “Marty” McCaig (Brandy Thigpen McCaig), all of Cherokee, and Nathan Lee of Sheffield; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Byrd-McCaig of Haileyville, Colton McCaig and Michael McCaig of Cherokee; sister, Viola McDaniel of Waterloo; and a legion of loved ones and friends.
Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital will be appreciated.
Trust in Jesus for comfort is her prayer for all.
