Funeral service for Willie Odessa King of Athens, Alabama will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 12:00 noon at James Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (814 Lucas St, Athens, AL 35611) with Pastor Perry W. Torain, Sr., as officiant and Minister Ollie Turner as eulogist. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time. Interment and committal will be at the Thatch Mann cemetery.
On Monday, April 6, 2026, public viewing will be from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. and family visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peoples Funeral Home.
