Willie Mae Black Otts Barnes age 92 of Sulligent, AL passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 in the Generations of Vernon.

Born December 27, 1926 in Lamar County, AL she is the daughter of the late Clarence and Cora Mae Smith Black. She had lived in Sulligent most of her life, and had worked in the Lunch Room at Sulligent High School for 15 years and Noe’s Grocery for over 18 years, and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hats Club. She was a member of the Mulberry Baptist Church.

She is survived by a Son, Ricky (Sharon) Otts of Sulligent, AL, 5 Sisters, Mila Rhea Fowler of Cottondale, AL, Barbara (David) Patterson of Tuscaloosa, AL, Eulene Hardy of Fayette, AL, Aline Black of Fayette, AL, Virginia Gardner of Tupelo, MS, 2 Brothers, Roger (Dixie) Black of Vernon, AL and Randel (Melissa) Black of Sulligent, AL and 3 Grandsons, Bradley Jay Otts, Farris Brock Reeves and David Paul Reeves, a Granddaughter, Kim Guyton Reeves, and 2 Great Grandsons, Landon Brock Reeves and Luke Banks Reeves. Several Nieces and Nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her first Husband, Clifford Lamar Otts, second Husband, James Parris Barnes, A Daughter, Linda Reeves, A Sister, Lovis Woods and 4 Brothers, J. C. Black, Orman Black, Levoid Black and Olen C. Black.

Services held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm from Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Prospect Cemetery. Bro. Ed Broadway officiating.
