Willie Jewell Roper
JANUARY 13, 1928 – SEPTEMBER 16, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Willie Jewell Roper, announce her passing on Monday, September 16, 2019. Ms. Roper loved writing poetry and had won several awards with her poems. She enjoyed working in her yard, crocheting, going to the Senior Center and dancing. She was a huge Alabama fan and loved to listen to Elvis’ music. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Leeota Smith Williams; two year old son, Larry Roper; infant son, Craig Roper; twin brother, William Euell Williams and the father of her children, John William Roper. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Sabrina (Scott) Wagnon; grandsons: Trenton (Amanda) Williams and Dalton Williams, great grandsons: Michael Williams and Leon Williams and her sister-in-law, Irene Williams Barnette. Her Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Moss Service Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery. Condolences and special memories can be left at mossservicefh.com
