Willie Dorris Hodge, age 91, of Medon, TN, passed from this life on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Christian Care Center in Bolivar.
Born Sunday, May 18, 1930, in Hornsby, TN, he was the son of the late Willie Otto and Addie Pearl Armour Hodge. He lived in Pinson from 1960 to 2013 before moving to Medon nine years ago.
Mr. Hodge served his country in the US Army from 1951-53 and married Virginia Lee Jaynes on June 27, 1964. She passed away April 21, 2004. Mr. Hodge was a farmer and worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation for 36 years. He loved all animals, especially raising goats and was a member of Shandy Baptist Church.
Survivors include his companion Doris Stringfellow of Medon; three brothers, Gene, Wayne and Payne Hodge; several step grandchildren; and family friends Lisa and Wallace West, Hadleigh and Madelyn Booker. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Margaret Sue Law; a sister, Catherine Ritter; and a brother, Gene Hodge.
