Willie Bea Rowsey – Obituary

shacWillie Bea Rowsey was born July 10, 1931 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late LeRoy W. and Lois Estill Rowsey.

Miss Rowsey graduated from Ramer High School. Following graduation, she attended the West Tennessee Business College in Jackson. Miss Rowsey was employed as a clerical worker for 40 years, 22 of which she spent with Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN. She loved traveling, working word puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends. Miss Rowsey enjoyed following the University of Memphis Sports teams, and was a member of the Corinth Red Hat Society. She liked listening to Southern Gospel music, especially the Heisman Quartet, and was a member of the Coleman Avenue church of Christ in Memphis.

Miss Rowsey departed this life on October 19, 2013 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 82 Years, 3 Months, 9 Days. She is survived by a brother, Glen Rowsey and wife Sandra of Ramer, TN; 3 nephews: Terry and Tim Jones and Keith Rowsey; 5 nieces: Teresa, Tina, Nan, Gretta, and Lynn; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Miss Rowsey was preceded in death by three sisters: Patricia Franks and husband Loyd, Shelby Jean O’Neill and husband Jerry, and Martha Ellen Jones and husband Billy; and one brother, Connie Verbal Rowsey and wife Joyce.
