Willie B. Langham – Obituary

willieMr. Willie B. Langham, 62, of Town Creek, Alabama, died March 7, at his home. His funeral will be Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek. Burial will follow in Wash Chilla Cemetery.
Willie B. was born July 16, 1952, the seventh child of ten born to the late Roy Langham Sr. and Bertha L. Langham, of Town Creek, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee Langham and Donald Langham, two sisters, Bobbie Jean Perkins and Geraldine Newsome, maternal grandparents, Robert and Sallie Mae Harris and paternal grandparents, Willie and Annie Langham.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Macedonia M.B. Church of Town Creek, Alabama. He attended the former Central High School of Courtland, Alabama where he played football and basketball; graduating in May 1970.
He worked as an electrician for most of his career beginning in 1972 at South Central Bell and ending in 2008 when his health began to fade, at EG&G, an electrical contractor for NASAs Marshall Space Flight Center. Willie B. was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW Local Union 558.
The Lord called Willie B. home on Saturday, March 7, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memory two beloved children, Arnetta Latrice Langham, of Toney, Alabama, and Jamare Tyrese Langham, of Leighton, Alabama; a devoted nephew, Kenneth Todd Perkins; mother, Ms. Bertha L. Langham, Town Creek, Alabama; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Neloms, Leighton, Alabama, and Ms. Bertha Jones, Hillsboro, Alabama; three brothers, Mr. Roy Langham (Nadine) and the Rev. Lee Langham (Joann), both of Courtland, Alabama, and Mr. Steven Langham (Carolyn), Town Creek, Alabama; two aunts, Mrs. Ethel Abernathy and Mrs. Victoria Stevenson, both from Florence, Alabama; three aunts-in-law, Mrs. Bessie B. Harris and Mrs. Lizzie Langham, both of Town Creek, Alabama, and Mrs. Bessie Harris, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Curlie Langham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
