William Tankersley, age 78 of Hanceville, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at his residence. He was born February 19, 1947, to John Albert Tankersley and Carrie Mae Freeman Tankersley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ray Tankersley and John Henry Tankersley.
Survivors include his niece, Melinda Tankersley; brother, Roy (Carolyn) Tankersley; sister, Shirley West; nieces and nephews, Allen (Della) Tankersley, Anthony (April) Tankersley, Melinda (Larry) Tankersley, Amanda West, Lisa (Allen) Cox; great nieces and nephews, Aiden, Alex, Stacy and Skylar and a Host of extended family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
