Pastor, Preacher, Teacher, Leader, Bible Expositor, Writer, Author, A Great Man of Faith, Reverend Dr. William T. Gladys has transitioned from earth to glory. Reverend Gladys was a pastor of the Historic Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church, the mother church of the National Primitive Baptist Convention and oldest black church in the state of Alabama. He was also President of the Tri-States Convention, founding President of the Reconstituted Alabama Primitive Baptist Convention and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Primitive Baptist Convention, USA.
A service in memory of the Reverend Dr. William T. Gladys will be 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church (3020 Belafonte Avenue, Huntsville, AL 35816).
A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church with Dr. Bernard C. Yates officiating. Entombment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Dr. Gladys will lie in repose two hours prior to funeral time.
