William Steele, age 72 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, he was born on June 18, 1950, in Cowan to the late William Henry and Mary Lee (Miller) Steele. Before his retirement, he was employed at Wiseman Termite Company. William enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to car shows, watching the ocean waves come in at the beach, and his morning cup of coffee. A wonderful father, he will be remembered for his caring nature and sense of humor. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Randy Steele, and Geraldine Coker. William is survived by his children, Kimberly (Cale) Shockley of Flintville, and Miranda Steele of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Sydney Steele, Oliver and Remy Shockley, and Mavis Bonner; mother of his children, Marie Steele of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews.
