William S. Therrell, age 92 of Fairfield, passed away January 6, 2022. William was known to everyone as “Bill”. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Tula Malinda “Linda” Allen Therrell. William is survived by his two sons, Mark William Therrell and Kyle Allen Therrell. William was born in North Carolina then came to live in Tarrant with his Aunt and Uncle after the passing of his parents. He attended Woodlawn High School and was on the track team. William was drafted into the Army during the Korean Era and served stateside in communications. He attended Howard College, now Samford University, upon discharge from military service. William worked on an oil pipeline in Texas after which he was employed at US Steel in the late 1950’s. He retired from US Steel and was then employed by D&L Engineering before his final retirement. William enjoyed repairing antique watches and genealogical research. A service to honor William’s life will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, January 14, 2022.
