William Roy Dover  William Roy Dover, age 97, of Haleyville, Alabama passed away December 17, 2019. Mr. Dover served in the United State Army during WWII at the Battle of Attu. He was awarded many Commendations including being the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of Orange Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will be Friday, December 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Corey Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow in Orange Cemetery.

Mr. Dover is survived by his wife, Willie Myree Dover; children, Larry (Janice) Dover, Darrel (Cheryl) Dover, Gwen (Bill) Molloy and Janelle Clement; brother, Marcie (Gaynell) Dover; grandchildren, Kevin (Lacrissa) Dover, Kelly (Mike) Askew, Jason (Joy) Clement, Scott (Sunjay) Dover, Selina (Brian) Ferguson; great grandchildren, Kaleb Dover, Ryan Askew, Hayden Dover, Ethan Askew, Hannah Clement, Brianna Clement, Amelia Ferguson & Jonah Ferguson; and great great grandchildren, Kaylee Dover and Khloe Dover.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Lilburn and Lena Pearl Dover; step mother, Mattie Dover; son, Ronald Dover; sister, Bea Bratton
