William “Rocky” Stone, age 66, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a cherished legacy of love, family, and a lifelong devotion to the great outdoors.
Born with an enduring passion for nature, Rocky found true peace and contentment under the open sky. Whether he was waiting patiently in the woods at sunrise, casting a line into quiet waters, or exploring the outdoors with his faithful canine companion, Rocko, by his side, being outside was where his spirit felt most at home.
Above all, Rocky was devoted to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam; his daughter, Melissa (Kris) McNeese; his son, Richard “Ricky” (Kristy) Stone; and his adored granddaughter, Carley, who brought immense light and joy to his life. He also leaves behind his three dear sisters, Vickie (Keith) Osborne, Brenda (Frank) Norman, and Tret West; several cherished nieces and nephews; and his beloved four-legged best friend, Rocko.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Buddy” and Mildred Stone; his stepfather, Doug Simmons; and his brother-in-law, Hulen West.
Rocky’s warmth, humor, and easygoing nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, living on with every dawn over the water and every quiet walk through the woods.
Visitation will be Tuesday 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:00 pm with Bro. Jamie Black and Bro. Ryan West officiating.
Interment will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
