William R. “Robbie” McVay, 51, of Cherokee, AL, died Sunday, October 25, 2015, on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Cypress Inn, TN, as the result of an automobile accident. Robbie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed shooting pool and Alabama football. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, at Asphalt Rock Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 28, at Asphalt Rock Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Perry Murphy and Bro. John Bray. Interment will follow in Asphalt Rock Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne McVay of Cherokee, AL; two sons, William Cody McVay of Oklahoma, Josh McVay of Cherokee; one step-son, Danny Carmack of Florida; one daughter, Allison McVay of Tuscumbia, AL; one step-daughter, Kristina Carmack of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Christy Staggs of Collinwood, TN, and Tammy Bond of Florence, AL; and two grandchildren, Aireana Fleming and Ciarra McVay. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Carolyn McVay.
