William Orman Hames, Sr. – Obituary

Funeral service for William Orman Hames, Sr., age 83, of Trinity,
will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 1:00 p.m.,
at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve McCurry officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7, 2013,
from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Caddo Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.
Mr. Hames, who died Monday, May 6, 2013, at his residence,
was born October 28, 1929, in Lawrence County,
to Joseph Elmer Hames and Della Lou McDougle Hames.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann Redding Hames.
Mr. Hames was a member of Caddo United Methodist Church,
and a U. S. Army veteran who served in the Korean conflict.
He is survived by one son, William “Billy” O. Hames, Jr.  of Hartselle;
three daughters, Jean Terry of Trinity, Mae Haggenmaker of Decatur,
and Ellen Jones of Trinity; one sister, Fannie Mae Clark of Trinity;
13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Alan Terry, Chris Terry, C. D. Haggenmaker, William Parker,
Ryan Parker, and Caine Jones.  Honorary pallbearer will be Bradley Jones.
