Watson-North Funeral home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of William Nelson Childress, age 78, of Winchester, TN. Mr. Childress passed from this life on Monday January 14, 2019, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Walter L. Childress and Christine Johnson Childress. William Childress professed his hope in Christ at an early age. He joined hands in Holy matrimony to Susie Johnson on July 6, 1964. To this union, no children were born. He was employed by Public Works for the city of Winchester. William leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 52 years; a devoted niece, Sheila Moore; devoted nephew Clement Moore of Southside, TN.; nephew, Michael Johnson of Kentucky; sisters, Mary Sue Southern, Waldean (Samuel) Wilkerson all of Tullahoma, TN; sister in laws, Lula Childress, Mary Childress both of Tullahoma, Anna Eady, Janie Johnson both of Winchester, Tn., Queen Duncan, Tullahoma, TN, Louise Cannon of Fayetteville, TN; close friends Charles and Sue Francis of Winchester, TN, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extends family and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday January 19, 2019 at Watson-North Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with interment being at Watson-North Memorial Park.
