William Marshall Hunter, age 93, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, at his residence. He was a native of Decatur, AL, retired owner of Gowen Furniture Store, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was also a Mason and Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie C. and Elizabeth Mullican Hunter; his wife, June Farris Hunter; one daughter, Marsha Seay; and one grandchild, Chris Hagan.
He is survived by one daughter, Mindy Clark (Douglas) of Ashville, NC; one son, Mark Hunter (Bettie Ann) of Lawrenceburg, TN; three grandchildren, Will Clark, April Mays, and DeAnna Fox; and eight great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Monday, November 20, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM Monday, November 20, 2023, with Reggie Coleman officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.
