William M. Bond, Jr., 95, died at home in Huntsville, Alabama July 2, 2022. He was the only son of William “Willie” M. Bond and Eliza Totty Bond.

He was predeceased by his parents, and his sisters, Beatrice Wright, Linnie Sue Chapman, Margaret Bond, Frankie Peden and Jean Way.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; daughters, Wyketia Oswald, Beverly Rymer (Mike), and Tracy Chambers; four grandsons, RJ Oswald (Shannon), Ian Rymer (Mandy), Dru Rymer (Beth) and Blaine Chambers; and six great-grandchildren, Parker, Adyson, Bo, Hudson, Vivian and Charlie Rymer.

Mr. Bond was a Navy veteran of WWII and a NASA retiree. While working at NASA, he was the recipient of NASA’s Distinguished & Exceptional Service Medals.

A graveside service will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens. The date and time will be announced.
