William Lewis, 48, of Pulaski, Tennessee passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.
William is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Wayne Lewis; 3 uncles, Jimmie Lane, Edward “Bugs” and Michael Dale Lewis: grandmother, Mary Jane Lewis.
He is survived by his daughter, Lara(Nathan) Bartlett, Elkmont, AL; 2 sons, William Clay Lewis, Athens, AL and Jon Lewis, Elkmont, AL; 2 grandchildren, Henry and Charlie Bartlett; mother, Karen Gates Lewis, Pulaski, TN; 2 sisters, Billie(Gary) Hooper, Ardmore, AL and Deanna( Branden) Beddingfield, Ardmore, AL; nieces and nephews, Chloey Hooper, Clay Hooper, Lexie Beddingfield and Bella Beddingfield; cousin, John David(Amanda) Lewis, Toney, AL; and best friend, Nichole Powers Smith, Athens, AL.
William lived in the Ardmore area all his life and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to fish and hunt, was an avid Auburn fan and a ruthless game player in Rook and Monopoly. He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle and proud pawpaw.
Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023, from 1 to 3 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home.
A Chapel service will be Monday, November 20, 2023, at 3 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, with Coach Mike Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
