William Leo Copeland, Jr., 77, Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. Visitation will be Friday, February 12, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park.
William was a veteran of the US Marine Corp and a member of the National Guard 115 Signal Battalion. He retired as a mill operator from Reynolds Metals / Wise. William was a member of York Bluff Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Leo and Flora Elton Copeland, and brother, Dale Copeland.
William is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glenda Charlene Copeland; children, Susan Ryan (Patrick), Stephen Copeland, and Brad Copeland; grandchildren, Erin Cagle (Chris), Mitchell Clemmons (Georgianna), Miller Clemmons, Charlene Copeland, and Stephanie Copeland; one great-grandchild; and his beloved dog, Jen-Jen.
William’s family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
