William Larry Dodd, 77 of Arab passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at his residence. He was born April 17, 1948, the son of W. C. Dodd and Alene Berry Dodd. He was a graduate of Marshall County High School, Class of 1966 and served his country with honor and courage in the United States Navy. He worked as a computer consultant before his retirement.
He is survived by his life partner: Martha Roy; daughters: Heather Sims (Chris) and Ashley Dodd; son: Jordan Dodd; grandchildren: Ty Sims (Whitney) and Colby Sims (Catherine); great grandchildren: Hutton Sims and Hadley Nell Sims; sister: Helen Hilton; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: W. C. and Alene Dodd; sisters: Nancy Dodd Sparks and Diane Dodd Darden.
The family chose to honor his wishes with cremation with a celebration of life service at a later date. Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the Dodd family with cremation arrangements.
