William Lane “Bop” Salter, age 86 of Boaz passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Shepherds Cove Hospice.
His funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 Albertville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Rev. Matt Coby will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Cornado, J. J. Davidson, Jospeh Butler, Michael Smith, Shawn Smith, Cameron Holston and Blake Miller. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 before the service.
He is survived his by child; Dawn Louise Bowen, grandchildren; Richard Salter (Amber), Debra Ann Smith, Julie Davidson (J. J.) and Bethshanna Salter, great-grandchildren; Auden Salter and Addie Murdock, Leland and Bradley Nance, Clair and Emily Davidson and Braxton Miller, siblings; Sylvia Jean Davis (Bobby) and Leota Bell Guthrie.
He is preceded in death by wife; Julie Clair “Bomie” Salter, daughter; Beth Ann Salter Penn, parents; Robie Bunker and Inez Gaskill Salter and his siblings; Belinda Salter Guthrie, Dorothy Salter Hargett and Elizabeth “Sister” Salter Mason.
