William Kenneth “Sonny” Hodges, age 62, passed away Aug. 21, 2017. Visitation was held Wednesday evening at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Faith Church of Florence with Brother Henry Melton officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Sonny was a loving husband and father. His spiritual shirts were a tool to witness for God. Sonny loved being a greeter at Faith Church.
Sonny was employed as a supervisor at Tee Jays Manufacturing and later was employed at Wise Alloys.
Survivors include his wife, Panthea Hodges; stepmother, Betty Hodges; children, Shane Hodges (Emily) and Paisley Matthews (Don); grandchildren, Lyndon and Canaan Matthews and Emma and Tucker Hodges; and siblings, Greg Hodges, Julie Hurd, Toye Morgan, Sheila Belcher, Barbie Johnston, Tobey Coosenberry, and Mitzi Schnell.
Pallbearers will include Glenn Wilson, Tim Morgan, Sabian Russell, Hobbie Hall, Paul Smoke, Johnathon Hodges, Austin Mcgee, Justin Whitten, Hunter Johnston, Shelton Price, and Ryland Price
