William Joseph “Billy Joe” Money, age 40 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on July 31, 1982. He was currently working as a landscaper. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed being on the water anywhere, especially floating the creek. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and cheering for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide. A true people person, Billy Joe will be remembered for his charismatic personality and for the love and compassion he showed to those around him. He was a member of Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his father William David Money; and grandparents, Joseph and Thelma (Cowan) Money, and Thomas and Doris (Ray) Renegar. Billy Joe is survived by his mother, Cherry (Dale) Amacher; children, Jamie (Josh) Hill, Alyvia Money, and Layla Money; grandchildren, Benen, Magnolia, and Riley Hill; siblings, Cindy Money Arnold, William David (Karin) Money Jr, Laura Money May, Chris Robertson, and Tommy (Shannon) Money; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also endeared to a special child Jasper who he called “Boo.” Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Dr. Michael Clark and Dr. Joe Butler officiating.
