William John Charles, III, “Billy,” 63, of Birmingham passed away on September 30, 2015.
Billy graduated from Decatur High School in 1970 and from the University of Alabama in 1976. He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Hynds Charles, and his parents, W.J. and Ruby Leigh Charles.
He is survived by his children, Allison Charles and Matthew (Laura Lee) Charles; his sisters, Terri (Rick) Watwood and Anita (Ricky) Crow; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 with visitation from 10 a.m. to noon at Ridout’s Valley Chapel (205-879-3401) Homewood, and graveside at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to The American Cancer Society.
