William Jesse “Tex” Boland was born November 11, 1926, in Big Creek, Mississippi, and passed from this life on January 10, 2021. He was raised in Texas and was a resident of Jasper, Alabama, at the time of his death.
Mr. Boland served three years in the US Navy, three years in the US Navy Reserve and one year in the United States Air Force. He loved his church and church family and leaves behind a multitude of friends and is sorely missed.
He also leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Norma June Boland. Three sons, William Jesse Boland, Jr. (Joyce) and Terry Wayne Boland all of Montgomery, Alabama and Victor Boland of Duncan, Mississippi. Three daughters, Polly Coffey of Statesville, North Carolina, Sherry Wiggins (Jeff) and Shelia McClain all of Ramer, Tennessee. Four step-daughters, Tommie Cain (Ralph) of Gore Springs, Mississippi, Debra Byrd (Craig), Toni Bradley (Barry) all of Tupelo, Mississippi and Phyllis Clark (Dave) of Ocala, Florida, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Pearl and Gober Edwards and his sister Mary Grace Seagraves.
There is a memorial service set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021, at New Oak Grove First Freewill Baptist Church, 530 Oak Grove Road, Nauvoo, Alabama, 35578.
