Willie was a hard-working man who was loved by everyone. He loved life and enjoyed every minute. His favorite place was the bend of the river. More than anything else he loved riding around the bend talking about old times.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Adelee Parrish; brothers, Jerry “Dubby” and Jimmy Parrish; and sisters, Carol Smith and Marcele Parrish.

Lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Christine Parrish; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Keith Yerbey; four grandchildren, Michael Parrish (Heather), Lyndsay Carroll (Danny Joe), and Dylan and Lakin Yerbey; five beautiful great-grandchildren, Memphis, Desira and Michalla Parrish and Brooklyn and Madisyn Carroll; brothers, Paul Parrish (Jan) and James “Dude” Parrish (Jackie May); and sisters, Faye Parrish and Brenda Jefferies (Dwight).

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Parrish, Danny Joe Carroll, Steve Smith, Charlie Lucy, Derrick Parrish, James E. Parrish, Will Irons, and Dylan Yerby.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone with Amedisys Hospice Care, especially Amber Herban, whom he affectionally referred to as “Big Momma.”
