Mr. William Haynes Tate, age 63 of Hollywood, Alabama passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. He was a member of Faithway Baptist Church. He was also an active member of the Hollywood Fire Department for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Tate; daughters, Leigh Summerford and Tori Tate; son-in-law, Austin Wallace; grandchildren, Hunter Summerford, Oakley Wallace, Autumn Wallace, and Cayson Sims; special friend, Dylan Breedwell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Tate was preceded in death by his parents, Noonie and Nannie Tate; sister, Audrey Allen; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Lloyd & Lucille Evans; sister-in-law, Beverly Evans; and brother-in-law, Kelly Atkins.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Faithway Baptist Church and from 11-2 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024 at the church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024 at Faithway Baptist Church with Bro. Pete Hess officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
