William H. Hoch  was born May 9, 1931 in Michigan the son of the late Lewis and Juanita Searfoss Hoch.

Mr. Hoch was a tankerman on the riverboat for 19 years. He served his country honorably for 8 years in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, he was a master paratrooper. He attended the Church Of God Of Prophecy in Bethel Springs, Tennessee.

Mr. Hoch was a kind, loving, and humble man. He was a loving father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Hoch departed this life on October 9, 2013 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 5 Months. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Waldon and husband Robert of Selmer, TN; a son, John Wayne Hoch and wife Mary of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Leroy Hoch and wife Jana of Novi, MI, Ted Hoch of Novi, MI; 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren; host of extended family and friends.

Services will be held on October 12, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with James Lawson officiating.
