Death sends no summons, but gloats unseen on the breeze. William Gregory Cunningham was born July 4, 1964. He entered into eternal life on April 22, 2024, at The University of Mississippi Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his father, Morton Cunningham, his mother, Alvilder Simmons, his brother, John “Duck” Simmons, and his sister, Dana “Chee Chee” Simmons.

A zest for living, a love for helping people, and uplifting personality are among the many outstanding traits possessed by Greg. Not like many of us, he is known for the caliber of his character and work as a Pipe Fitter with Brasfield and Gorrie General Contractors.

He leaves to cherish his memories: the love of his life, Doris Cunningham; his son, Sherman Lee Pentacost (Brittany); his daughter, Angela Armstrong; his granddaughters, Carmen Smith, Ava Young, Kanora McGee and, Aja Bradley; his great grandson, Rome Delanor Rudolph, his brother Kenneth Simmons (Malathia); and a host of aunts, uncle, nephews, niece, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Simmons Cemetery.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)-967-2222
