William Gordon “Buddy” Dean Jr., 67 of Gardendale, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.
William was born on March 31, 1954 in Carthage, Tennessee. He loved anything outdoors, whether it was the mountains, beach, working outside, or mud riding. He also enjoyed drag racing, and riding 4 wheelers with his grandkids.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1-2pm at Henryfield FCMC Church, where services will be held at 2pm. Brother Greg Kugler will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
William is survived by his wife of 23 years, Maria Dean; daughters, Jessica Eslami and her husband Christian, and Kayla Glass; grandchildren, Dawson Glass, Colson Glass, and Harlis Eddy; and siblings, Phillip Dean, Muriel Boyd and her husband Don, Phyllis Harrison and her husband Tommy, Helen Lewis and her husband Paul; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Beavers Dean; and sister, Willodean Blackburn.
