William Gene Baker Jr., 49, of Arapahoe, N.C., formerly of Killen, was promoted to heaven on June 24, 2013. He was born on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1964, to William Gene Baker Sr. (deceased) and Sarah Green Baker. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Bessie Green; and paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Baker, all of Cleveland, Ohio. Bill graduated from Rogers High School in 1982 and proudly served two terms in the U.S. Marine Corps before settling down in Arapahoe, N.C. until he found peace in Jesus’ arms last Monday.
He leaves behind to love and remember him his wife of 8 years, Bonnie, and her children, Wesley, Gillian, Nash and Laura, all of Arapahoe, N.C. He also leaves behind his daughters, Brandi, Kaylie and Jessica Baker; two grandchildren, all from Warren Ohio; his siblings, Becky Baker, of Greenhill, Ala.; John Baker, of Hartselle, Ala.; and Jennifer B.
