William Franklin Bole Sr. – Obituary

William Franklin Bole Sr., age 82, passed away Jan. 14, 2018. Visitation will be today from noon until 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Killen. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Ashley Pettus and Rev. Edgar Griggs officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Bill was a dedicated Gideon speaking at numerous churches promoting the charity. He was an ordained Baptist deacon. A retired teacher and principal, he coached a Mississippi state championship football team at Bayou Academy in their first year of football. He also retired from Urbana Labs, St. Joseph, Missouri.

Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara McCool; grandchild, Randal Heath Burns; and great-grandchild, Dallas Andrew Burns.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Bole; children, Bill Bole Jr., Lisa Bole Quillen (Dwight), and Brad Bole (Beth); grandchildren, Krystina Bole (Zane Olive), Will Bole (Tina Morton), Bryce Burns (Brittney), Blake Burns (Savanna), Dusty Quillen, Luke Bole (Melanie O’Toole), and Katy Beth Bole (Tate Mathis); great-grandchildren, Dakota Burns and Dalton Burns; and sister, Adeline Crutcher.

Members of the Gideon Lauderdale East Camp will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the members of Morris Thomas’ Sunday school class at First Baptist.
