William Frank Morris Jr, age 87 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga. A native of Franklin County, he was born on February 11, 1936, to the late Frank and Katherine Morris. William was a life-long carpenter who worked alongside his brother Gordon for many years building homes around Franklin County. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as anything related to University of Tennessee Athletics. He loved spending time with his family, especially his three grandsons, and enjoying a variety of cakes, pies, and Little Debbie snack cakes. William was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Morris. William is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Joyce Morris; his two daughters, Beverly (William) Short of Winchester, and Kellye Kennedy of Murfreesboro; grandsons, Justin (Chelsea) Short of Tullahoma, Michael Kennedy of Murfreesboro, and Sean Kennedy of Murfreesboro; sister, Lena Sue (Dwight) Robinson; brothers, Gordon (Shirley) Morris, Eddie Morris, and Michael Morris. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
