William Francis Fennessey, Jr., 85 of Franklin, Tennessee died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, May 8, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late William Francis Fennessey, Sr. and the late Isabel Kelly. He lived most of his life in the Nashville area and was a member of the Studebaker Club.
He enjoyed antiques and history. He was a paratrooper in the US Army, serving in both Korea and WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 36 years: LaVerne Fennessey, sisters: Mary Anne Musto, Dorothy McClean, Isabel Coleman and a brother: Jeoseph Fennessey.
Survivors include: his wife Virginia Hansen Fennessey of Franklin, TN, step-children: Clyde (Helen) Brown, Valerie Hansen, Fay Bailey, Bradley Hansen, Douglas Hansen, Lori Hansen, and Lynn (Steve) Tucker, one niece: Robin Coleman, grandchildren: Wayne (Dede) Underwood, Jessica (Johnny) Rich, Levi Hansen, Rachel Hansen, Alexander Hansen, Misty Mack, Jaxon Tucker, Brandon Tucker, and Madison Tucker, and great-grandchildren: Robbie, Ryan, and Kevin Underwood, and Helen and Lucy Grace Rich.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Father Bala officiating. Burial will be in Prosperity Cemetery, Fayetteville, TN.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
