William Eullan Wilburn , age 83, of Killen, Ala., passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Tennessee State Nursing Home, Humboldt, Tenn., after an extended illness.
He was a native of Lawrence County, Tenn., a U.S. Army sergeant 1st class (retired), having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, a prisoner of war for 38 months and of the Church of God faith.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Oneal Wallace and Dustin Wilburn will be officiating.
Burial will follow in Lindsey Grove Cemetery with full military honors at graveside.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Dec. 9, 2012, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Survivors are his wife, Ramona Shultz Wilburn, Killen, Ala.; two stepsons, Greg Wilburn and wife, Jeannie, of Belvedere, Tenn., Tim Wilburn and wife, Carla, of Loretto, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Donna Phillips and husband Mike, of Loretto, Tenn., Susan Reeves and husband, Jimmy, of Loretto, Tenn.; three stepgrandsons, Cody, Matt and Casey; six stepgranddaughers, Tana, Amanda, Kandace, Christa, Niki and Bethany; nine stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaden, Caleb, Colt, Hunter, Addalee, Caroline, Emma, Levi and Blaze; two brothers, G.W. Wilburn, of Leoma, Tenn., Terry Wilburn, of Leoma, Tenn.; three sisters, Opalene Luffman, of Rogersville, Ala., Frances Corbin, of Leoma, Tenn., Brenda Jean Leatherwood, of Florida; several nieces and nephews also survive; and three nephews and one niece who were very special to him, Chuck, Vernon, Ricky and Shirley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Leona Wilburn; first wife, Opal; and siblings, Jackie, Arlie, Odell, Janell, Edith and V.H.
