William Edward “Ed” Shelby, age 68 of Pulaski, passed away Wednesday February 12, 2025 at Vanderbilt.Ed was born in Pulaski on May 25, 1956 to Audie and Sallie Boatright Shelby. He worked in the maintenance department for Fafnir. Ed loved trains and taking care of others. He was an EMT and former member of the Giles County Rescue Squad, Ham Radio Stars Club, and the Second Street Church of Christ. Ed is preceded in death by his parents Coell and Sallie Shelby.
Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Friday February 14, 2025 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday February 15, 2025 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
Ed is survived by his wife Anita Shelby of Pulaski; son Joseph Shelby (Kim) of Nashville; sister Judy Lamar of Pulaski; niece Tiffany Kimbrough (Joey) of Pulaski; nephews Tommy Lamar (Elisha) of Spring Hill, Edmund Schlacher (Elizabeth) of Florida; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
