The funeral service for William Edward “Billy” Farrow, age 81 of Cragford, will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of Cragford with Rev, David Holcombe and Rev. Sonny McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mr. Farrow passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his home. He was a native and life-long resident of Clay County and retired from TruWood Cabinetry as a Maintenance Supervisor. He loved to grow his garden and spend time with his beloved dog, KoKo. Mr. Farrow was a member of Church of Cragford.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Bishop (Herbie) of Cragford; one son, Eddie Farrow of Birmingham; one sister, Betty Hill of Birmingham; three grandchildren: Matt Bishop (Tonya), Emily Brown and Malya Pitts and one great-granddaughter, Langlee Marie Bishop
Mr. Farrow was preceded in death by his parents: Emil Burl Farrow and Velma Pearl Burns Farrow; his wife of 52 years, Lannie Gay Farrow and two brothers: Burns and Sam Farrow.
Pallbearers will be Anthony White, Davey Boyd, Mike Wellborn, Ricky McCain, John Oswalt and Joel McMath.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. Mr. Farrow will lie in state on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the church for one hour prior to service time at 2:00 p.m.
