William Earl Adkins, Jr, age 55, of Sheffield, died suddenly, Thursday, October 9, 2014. His family will receive friends Sunday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Larry Kilpatrick and Jeff Winters officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
William was a member of Cox Boulevard Church of Christ and was retired from the City of Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Eleanor Adkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Wanda Moore Adkins, son, William Dustin Adkins (Amanda), daughters, Jaime Kathleen Adkins, Jessica Krystine Adkins, brother, Raymond Adkins (Dana), sisters, Elizabeth Malone (Tony), Pam Keenum (Mike), his beloved grandsons, Hayden Adkins, Camden Adkins and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Justin Taylor, Tony Cooley, Bruce Graham, Bradley Bump, Ray Cain, Chris Adkins, Terry Lenz and Britt Laster.
Honorary pallbearer is Robert Holden.
