Graveside service for will be Monday, May 18, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Dr. Rudy Guess officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 12:45 at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Mr. Shackelford was born on December 3, 1928, in Morgan County to William Edwin Shackelford, Sr. and Ethel Adams Shackelford. He graduated from Columbia Military Academy. He attended Auburn University and Howard College and was in the U. S. Air Force. He was a graduate of Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technology.
Mr. Shackelford is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Shackelford; daughters, Debbie Shackelford and Tondee Blalock; sons, David Shackelford and Billy Shackelford; two grandchildren; stepdaughters, Erika Gennarelli and Heidi Higginbotham; two step-grandchildren.
Mr. Shackelford is preceded in death by his parents.
