William Douglas “Doug” Cheek, age 73, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Saturday, April 15th, 2023, in Sevier County.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Willie D. Cheek and Annie Chapman Cheek Raspberry. He was a retired salesman for WJJM, Lowe’s, and was the owner of Shoes and More. He was a very involved member of the Elks Lodge, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the Westvue Church of Christ. He served his country for a number of years in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rebecca Davis Cheek, one son, Matt (Stephanie) Cheek of Mooresville, two sisters, Beverly Diane Cheek (David) Upchurch of Columbia, and Priscilla Jane Cheek(Ronnie) Paul of Culleoka, and two grandchildren, Callie and Dakota Wilson. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of London Funeral Home 324 West Church Street Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue on Thursday, April 20th, 2023 until the funeral hour.
