Funeral service for William “Del” Roan, 71, will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Redfearn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Roan died on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born March 8, 1943, in Morgan County to Ralph and Helen Betterton Roan. Mr. Roan proudly served in the USAF for eight years, during those years he did two tours in Vietnam. He worked for the TVA for 39 years where he became head electrician. Mr. Roan was very helpful, very kind to those he loved and to total strangers. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Wendall Roan
