William David Mears, 69, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at his home in Fulton surrounded by his family. He was born April 27, 1956 to the late Horace Mears and the late Otis Faye Lindsey Best. Born in Baldwyn but raised in Tremont and resided in Fulton. David was the best father, a faithful husband, and provider for all his family. He loved to fish and was always a jokester. He worked mostly at Cooley Trucking and his CB handle was “Double B”. At the end of his career David was an owner/operator of his own truck which he took much pride in. David loved spending time with his family and gathering around the holidays with family and food; especially a bowl of ice cream.
Services for David will be at 4:00 Saturday, April 25, 2026, with Bro. Jim Mooney officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 Saturday April 25, all at Senter Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Mears of Fulton; children: Chuck (Angela) Mears, Jason (Maggie Davis) Mears, Lori Mills, Lacey (Channing) Davis, Taylor (Elizabeth) Mears; grandchildren: Dalton (Joanna) Mears, Charlotte (James) Tutor, Chastity Mears, Jordan Mears, Tyson Mears, Mason Mears, Kamryn Ruple, Benton Mills, Drake Davis, Nolan Davis, Logan Davis; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Remi, Waylon, McKenzie, Saylor; sister, Linda Loth; brother, Jackie Upton; his fur babies: Sadie and Stella
Preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents who raised him, William and Nervie Lindsey; infant son; sister, Brenda Manley
